If you’ve been around Hunt A Killer for a bit, you know that every Friday the 13th is what we’ve deemed “Hunt A Killer Friday” where we offer super fun bundles and deals because… why not? It’s Friday the 13th!

This year we have a “Summer Camp” theme (how very Jason Vorhees / Camp Crystal Lake of us!) and we’re including Camp Calamity, one of our new all-in-one premium games with every bundle.

Here’s Camp Calamity’s synopsis for reference:

“When the staff of Camp Ashburne find a counselor’s charred remains in the embers of last night’s bonfire, the authorities are quick to rule it as an unfortunate accident. However, when one of the counselors discovers new evidence that suggests it wasn’t an accident--and she needs you to help her prove it.”

We’d also be remiss if we failed to mention that this Friday the 13th falls conveniently on National Blame Someone Else Day. We can thank a woman named Anne Moeller of Michigan for this national day of pawning off—she coined it back in 1982.

“One day, her alarm clock failed to go off, hence creating a domino effect of bad luck events throughout the day.  Since the day happened to be on Friday the 13th, the observance takes place on the first Friday the 13th each year. “

In some ways, pairing Friday the 13th and National Blame Someone Else Day sounds like a Dateline episode waiting to happen, so that makes it sort of…perfect?

Some people consider Friday the 13th to be a lucky day—even planning wedding ceremonies and other important events to make a statement and shake off any “dark” superstitions that lie within.

But in case you’re late for work, someone cuts you off on the road, you miss your cycling class, or spill your coffee all over your shirt, just know there’s a day for that. Blame it on Blame Someone Else Day and feel the weight lift off your shoulders! Have a happy Hunt A Killer Friday the 13th!
